Match the finish to the brand
Foil catches light; printed graphics can carry a broader color and artwork direction. Choose a finish that fits the brand and the paper rather than assuming a metallic logo is the right answer for every product.
Prepare the artwork clearly
Vector artwork and separate finish layers make the brief easier to review. State the intended foil color and position. Very small text, fine strokes and finishing across folds need a feasibility check.
Compare actual samples
The paper and surface finish change how a logo appears. A screen mockup is useful for placement, but it does not prove the final metallic appearance or color. Review the approved sample under normal viewing light.
Keep your quote comparison consistent
Use the same logo size, finish positions, paper, dimensions and quantity when comparing quotations. Record any tooling or sample scope so the final quoted products are equivalent.
