Begin with the packed product and retail handover. Ribbon can emphasize a gift presentation, rope gives a different grip and visual detail, and the paper and reinforcement support the complete carry construction. Color and logo are reviewed after the bag fits the product.
| Format | Where it fits | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Ribbon handle bags | Boxed gifts and a soft-handle presentation. | Specify ribbon width, visible drop, holes or other agreed fixing. |
| Rope handle bags | Retail carry with a rounded grip detail. | Review rope diameter, end fixing and top-fold support. |
| Textured or matte bags | A tactile or low-glare branded direction. | Texture and finish are separate from logo embossing; inspect artwork on the paper. |
| Matching bag and box sets | A complete gift handover using coordinated components. | Size the bag from the filled box exterior, including tissue and ribbon. |
Use width × height × gusset for the bag body and specify handle drop separately. Measure any gift box after it is filled and wrapped. Share the carrying weight and whether the box sits upright or flat. Compare a shared bag size with several closer-fitting sizes using the actual packing motion, not just the product image.
White cardboard paper, brown kraft and white kraft are different material directions. If you prefer a natural kraft carry bag, compare that collection separately. For a gift bag, review paper grade, the top fold, handle attachment and bottom support together; a paper weight on its own is not a finished load rating.
A paper bag quote depends on finished panel area, paper, handle and reinforcement, print coverage, decorative steps and quantity per size or artwork. List all versions and accessories. Where colors are shared with a box, approve the materials side by side.
Compare the desired appearance and grip, then review fixing, paper and reinforcement with the packed weight. Neither handle name alone proves a stronger bag.
Check the largest packed product and the smallest typical purchase. A common size simplifies stock but may change presentation and movement.
Specify finished body width, height and gusset with units. Handle dimensions and any special folds are separate parts of the specification.
Review a complete sample set with the finished box exterior, accessories and carrying weight. Matching on a screen is not a physical color approval.
